Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating an alleged serious assault which occurred at an Inishowen secondary school last week.
The incident involving at least three male students occurred last Tuesday morning at Scoil Mhuire in Buncrana.
The violent assault was filmed and shared on a social media app which showed two boys fighting on the floor of a school corridor before a third person lands a kick to the head of one of those on the ground. The injured student was later taken to hospital where he was treated for suspected concussion. Another student was also treated for a mouth injury.
A spokesperson for the Garda Press Office confirmed Gardaí in Buncrana are investigating an assault and that “no further information is available at this time.”
