Rising blues star Muireann Bradley has just announced her first headline gig in Donegal.

The Ballybofey sensation will play a special solo performance in her hometown Balor Theatre on June 22nd.

She played a supporting role to other musicians at the same venue back in November during the popular Ghostlight Sessions.

Today, she confirmed it is just one of sixteen gigs she will perform across Ireland and Europe this year.

Muireann describes her musical style as “folk blues” and said she grew up listening to the genre thanks to her dad.

Find out more about Muireann and listen to her music here.

Earlier this week, Muireann was nominated for a Ticketmaster ‘Irish Rising Star For 2024’ Award.

This is her first award nomination since she made her break on the blues scene and subsequently shot to stardom on Jools Holland’s Hootenanny on New Year’s Eve.

The 17-year-old gained another legion of fans after an impressive performance on The Late Late Show on January 19th.

The Ticketmaster Awards are the ‘ultimate celebration of live entertainment’ and Muireann’s upcoming live dates show how in-demand she is.

Voting is now open for the Ticketmaster Awards, where Muireann is up against Big Sleep, Leo Miyagee, Really Good Time, The Cope and Saibh Skelly. Vote here: www.ticketmaster.ie/ticketmaster-awards-2024
