There has been a slight increase in the number of people signing on the live register to start 2024.
A total of 9,141 people are currently unemployed in County Donegal as of the end of January, that figure being up 23 on December’s total.
Nationally there were a total of 177,264 people on the live register in January, an increase of over 4,200 on December – but still a marked decrease on January 2023, when there were 184,180 people without a job in the state.
