A 44 year old man has been charged in connection with the attempted murder of DCI John Caldwell in the North last year.
Alan Lundy appeared at Dungannon Magistrates Court yesterday in connection with the attack, as well as directing terrorism.
DCI Caldwell had been a PSNI detective in a number of high-profile legal cases in the North, in the years before he was attacked.
He was shot several times in front of his son outside a sporting complex in Omagh in February last year, in a shocking incident that left him requiring intensive care treatment.
