Gardaí are appealing for information after a passenger became aggressive and vandalised a Letterkenny taxi at the weekend.

The incident occurred at Ashlawn at approximately 4.40am on Sunday morning.

A man had taken a taxi to that area and he then became aggressive with the driver and he broke the windscreen of the car before leaving the area on foot.

“We appeal to anybody who may have travelled in the area of Ashlawn around that time who had a dashcam to make the footage available to Gardaí,” said Garda Sean Sweeney.

If anybody observed this man on foot, they are also asked to make contact with Letterkenny Garda Station on 074-9167100. The Garda Confidential Line may also be contacted on 1800 666 111.
