Finn Harps fans will get a chance to get a chance to see their side in league action for the first time this season when they face Cork City at Finn Park on Friday night.
Relegated City got their season off to a solid start when they beat neighbours Kerry FC in their opening game of the season last weekend.
Harps managed to overcome Longford Town 3-2 despite being two goals behind after just 13 minutes.
Finn Manager Darren Murphy said he could do without the stressful comebacks after the league opener but was happy with the spirit his side showed.
Kick-off at Finn Park is 7.45pm on Friday and the club is hoping for a good crowd o the back of the opening win.
Cork might not get the 5,000 people at Finn Park who turned up for their opening game at Turner’s Cross.
But Harps manager Murphy said he is hoping for a great atmosphere at Finn Park.
However he must still plane without the injured Kevin Jordan, Ryan Rainey, Aaron McLaughlin and Conor Tourish while Sean O’Donnell and Matty Makinson are doubtful.
He said “When you look back down the years of League of Ireland football, this is a really tasty fixture to start our home league campaign.
“They had a great win last week in front of a fantastic attendance of over five thousand people. That’s a superb number of people to watch a game in the First Division and shows the size of club they are.
“We’re hoping for a very entertaining game here this evening and look forward to playing in front of our home support. We showed fantastic character and resilience in Longford last weekend and hopefully we can carry that momentum forward now and get another positive result.”
Fans are urged to purchase tickets in advance to avoid queues on the night.
