Road closed at Newtown following traffic accident

The R237 road at Keshends, Newtowncunningham has been closed following a traffic collision.

The road is currently blocked and will remain closed for a number of hours, according to Donegal County Council.

It is understood the incident, which occurred around midday, involved a lorry.

However, it is not understood that anybody has been injured.

Motorists are asked to follow local diversions.
