Gardáí in Donegal have warned the public of another postal delivery scam doing the rounds.
Such scams have become more and more common, with the rise in deliveries from online outlets leading to opportunities for scammers to strike.
This new text scam claims that a package cannot be delivered, because a delivery address must be added. A fraudulent link is provided, giving scammers an opportunity to steal your personal info.
Gardaí are asking the public to never click on any links in these types of messages, and to delete the message.
They’re also asking anyone who has fallen victim to such a scam, or know someone who has, to report it to Gardaí.
