Preparations for Mevagh St Patrick’s Day parade well underway

Preparations are coming along well for the 14th annual Mevagh St Patrick’s Day parade.

Floats are being prepared, with organisers looking to showcase the creativity of the local community.

Prizes will be handed out for the most creative floats, as well as for the best float as Gaelige.

The parade will also be livestreamed on Facebook.

The parade will start at 1pm, and the ever popular John Bosco will be entertaining the crowd from 12.30pm.

Organisers are advising that vehicle floats are to assemble at chapel car park from 12.30pm and walking groups to meet at Logues Bar, Carrigart at 12.45pm

Parade organisers are still looking for people, clubs or businesses who are interested in taking part are being asked to contact Maggie on 083 1444 590 or Martin on 087 1212 352.
