The weekend is set to get off to a good start.

Some small showers will move in from the east later on this afternoon, but they are expected to be patchy and light.
Highest temperatures will be between 7 and 8 degrees today, dipping down to between 1 and 4 degrees celsius overnight tonight.
Tonight will see some patchy light rain and drizzle in parts, with some localised patches of mist also.
