Donegal Gardaí have arrested four drivers for drug driving in just two days in the Letterkenny area.
On Friday, one driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of cocaine, with another driver caught driving with cannabis in their system.
Then today, two further drug driving arrests were made in Letterkenny, with one driver testing positive for cannabis, and another driver caught driving under the influence of benzodiazepines and cannabis.
The second driver caught today also had their car seized after they were found to not have a driving licence.
In a statement, An Garda Síochána Donegal said: “These drivers will now have to face the consequences of their poor decisions. Driving while under the influence of drugs is irresponsible and dangerous.”
“Please have regard for your own safety and the safety of other road users. Never drive under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Help us save lives on the roads.”
