Multiple national news organisations are reporting that both of the Government’s referendum proposals will be comprehensively defeated.

The referendums on changes to the constitution regarding the definition of Family and Care have failed to drum up interest nationwide, with relatively low turnouts reported at many polling stations.

RTÉ News have reported that a “consistent pattern of ‘No-No’ votes have been recorded” at polling stations, with the Irish Independent and Irish Times also reporting similar voting patterns.

Green Party leader Eamon Ryan has also told national media that the tallies are suggesting a “No-No” outcome at this stage.
