A well-known Stranorlar supermarket is re-opening, after a major electrical fault forced its closure in February.

Andies Superstore will re-open on Thursday the 28th of March.

The shop closed after the electrical fault required the fire brigade to attend the store, with the damage caused to the electrical systems meaning extensive repairs were needed.

However, the store announced that it will be open again in the next few weeks.

“We at Andies Supermarket Stranorlar are delighted to announce that we are hoping, please God, to reopen on Thurs 28th March,” they posted on social media.

“We would like to sincerely apologise to each and everyone of you for the closure, due to circumstances beyond our control. We are extremely grateful to the E.S.B, who have been so supportive to us at this time, and to our excellent tradesmen who have come to our assistance.”

“Last, but certainly not least, we would sincerely thank you, each and everyone of our customers, for the wonderful words of support, offers of help, your prayers etc very much appreciated.”

“Hoping to see you all soon. Take care. From all at Andies Supermarket.”
