A local councillor has said the community in Castlefin will rally around the victims of yesterday’s devastating fire.
Cllr Gary Doherty was referring to the blaze that broke out on Sunday evening at the iconic Tinney’s Bar. The pub was destroyed and considerable damage was caused to an adjoining house containing apartments. Luckily, no one was injured.
“As a community, our job will be to give our support in whatever way we can,” Cllr Doherty said.
“If anyone knows the people in the affected flats next door, can you ask them to get in contact with me or pass my number on to make sure they have accommodation,” he added.
