Donegal County Council has granted planning permission for a new guesthouse in Downings.
Roundhill Properties Ltd has been given the go ahead for the 14 bedroom building in the seaside resort. The proposed development will also include provision of an on site sewage treatment plant to pretreat the sewage of the existing four apartments, dwelling and the new guesthouse with discharge of treated effluent to public sewer.
There was one local objection to the development over concerns of over development of the site as well as added pressure on the local sewer network.
