Tributes were paid this week to Sergeant Paul Wallace, as he is set to retire from An Garda Síochána after almost four decades of public service.

A special function was held to celebrate the retiring Sergeant this week at Letterkenny Garda Station earlier this week.

Sgt Wallace spent almost 40 years in the force, as well as holding a prominent role as part of the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors (AGSI) for a significant period also.

As part of his retirement ceremony, a special memento was presented to Sgt Wallace to commemorate his work and achievements as part of An Garda Síochána.
