Article Updated, 18th March, to include winners list

A bumper crowd lined the Main Street in Letterkenny this afternoon for the annual St Patrick’s Day Parade in the town.

Thousands made their way to see the annual display of colourful floats and colourful characters make their way through the streets of the Cathedral Town – and to enjoy a few light and not-so-light beverages as well we’re sure.

Local community groups, bands, and some creative signs asking St Patrick to banish a few more “snakes” were the highlights of a fantastic day out.

The Winners of the Letterkenny St.Patrick’s Day Parade 2024 are:
Best Band – Letterkenny & District Pipe Band
Best Business Entry – Funky Monkey Entertainment
Best Novelty Entry – Letterkenny Ukulele Orchestra
Best Sporting Entry – Citadel Gymnastics
Irish Spirit/Use of Irish Entry – Comhaltas Letterkenny
Diversity & Inclusion Entry – Donegal Intercultural Platform
Best Carnival Entry – Letterkenny CDP
Best Youth Entry – Little Angels School
Danny & Margaret Doherty Memorial Award for Best Float – ZoNa Dance Company
Overall Winner – Comhaltas Letterkenny
