The Na Rossa GAA Club has paid tribute to former player, Trevor Melly, who passed away over the weekend.
The club posted on its Facebook page on the tragic passing of the popular ‘Big Ned’ from Lettermacaward.
“A real Na Rossa stalwart, Trev played from a very young age right through to seniors where he commanded his position on the half back line for a number of years,” they said.
“He was also a championship winner with the seniors and also captained the side during his successful career with the team. A Na Rossa man through and through.”
The club extends their deepest Sympathies to his wife Louise, daughter Erin, his parents Breege and Jamsie, his brothers Felix (Janet), Barry (Tanya), his sisters Diane (Michael) and Sinead, his nephews, nieces and to his extended family, friends and neighbours.
Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.
