A well-known Dunfanaghy family are organising a tea day in a bid to help raise funds for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The Sterritt family are coping with the recent news that a member of their family is now battling the disease.

The family have decided to host the fundraising day to help others who have found themselves in the same position.

There are more than 450 people affected by this cruel and debilitating disease all across Ireland.

Currently this is not something there is a cure for but the IMNDA are constantly researching and hopefully this is something which will help people in the future.

The Sterritt Family are now hosting Drink Tea for MND with us on the 24th March 2024 from 10am-3pm.

All money raised will go towards the IMNDA.

A spokesperson for the Sterritt family said “The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the only organisation in this country supporting these families and it’s a charity that’s very close to our heart.

“Please support our fundraising efforts and help us ensure that every person living with MND receives the dedicated care and support they need.

“It will hopefully help also to raise funds for vital research towards finding a cure.”

There will be a raffle on the day with lots of prizes and some lovely baking and treats.

If you are unable to attend and would still like to donate you can do so via this link at https://www.imnda.ie/fundraisers/rebeccasterritt
