Saint Eunan’s College’s STEAM Academy has rapidly become a cornerstone of educational excellence in the North West.

Established in 2017, it is dedicated to promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths (S.T.E.A.M) education.

At the heart of the academy’s mission lies its flagship event, Engineering Week, which serves as a dynamic platform for collaboration and exploration. During this annual celebration, the academy partners with local primary schools, tertiary institutions and businesses to showcase the practical applications of S.T.E.A.M principles and inspire the next generation of innovators.

This year’s Engineering Week was particularly vibrant, with a diverse array of activities and visits enriching the educational experience of students. Welcoming Glenswilly National School, Woodland National School, ATU Donegal and Zeus Tubing, among others, provided students with invaluable hands-on experiences and real-world insights into the field of engineering.

In addition to Engineering Week, the academy is committed to integrating S.T.E.A.M initiatives throughout the academic year. From interactive workshops to guest lectures, students across all year groups are provided with opportunities to engage with S.T.E.A.M subjects in meaningful and impactful ways.

Furthermore, the academy recognises the importance of fostering a culture of lifelong learning and curiosity. By offering a wide range of engineering events tailored to students of all ages and interests, the academy empowers individuals to explore their passions and pursue excellence in their chosen fields.

The academy continues to go from strength to strength, its commitment to inspiring minds, fostering innovation, and promoting interdisciplinary education remains unwavering. Through its tireless efforts and dedication to excellence, the academy continues to shape the future of S.T.E.A.M education and empower generations of students to reach their full potential.
