Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald is visiting Donegal today.

It’s understood she will visit several locations around the county as part of the party’s local and European election campaign efforts.

Her visit also comes days after her party demanded a general election, following the resignation of Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

Sinn Fein have put forward a number of new nominees for the upcoming Council elections, with three candidates apiece running for seats on the Letterkenny-Milford, Glenties and Buncrana tickets.
