Potential for hail and sleet in some areas to start weekend – Met Éireann

The beginning of the weekend is set to get off to a damp and potentially chilly start.

Met Éireann say that today, Saturday will see a mix of sunshine and frequent showers, with some strong winds also.

There is also a chance of some hail or even sleet falling on higher ground during today, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms for a time as well.

Highest temperatures between 6 and 9 degrees today, with it likely feeling fresh due to strong winds.
