Gardai have called off a search for missing sheep in Downings – after they came home with their tails between their legs!
It had been suspected that the seven in-lamb ewes had been stolen between Match 9th and 10th last.
But Gardai have now reported that the sheep have been located and were in fact lost and not stolen as previously thought.
“We would like to thank everybody involved for reaching out to the owner,” said a Garda spokesperson.
