The McGuinness Masterplan is still coming together.

Led by captain and man of the match, Ciaran Thompson, Donegal managed to stave off a late surge by Armagh to claim the Division Two title at Croke Park today.

Hundreds of loyal Donegal fans made the trip to GAA headquarters in the hope of seeing Donegal claim some silverware.

In the end just a point separated the two Ulster sides as Donegal won 0-15 to 0-14.

Jim McGuinness knows there will be tougher tests ahead as the preparations begin for the stiffest of championship tests against Mickey Harte’s Tyrone side in just three weeks time.
