A cyclist aged in his 60s has died following an accident in County Kildare this afternoon.

Gardaí say a car collided with the man at approximately 11:20am this morning, at Knocknagee.

The man’s body was subsequently removed to Naas General Hospital where a post-mortem will now take place.

It’s the third road death this Bank Holiday weekend on the roads in Ireland, after a 17 year old boy died when he was struck by a car in County Mayo last night, and a woman in her 30s died following a crash in County Tipperary on Friday night.
