Gardaí from Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit seized one car and arrested another driver for suspected drug driving yesterday.
A car was stopped yesterday morning at one of their MIT checkpoints and upon further inspection they discovered that it had no NCT or tax. The car was seized. Fixed Charge Penalty Notices will be issued.
They stopped another car later in the day on the outskirts of Letterkenny and the driver tested positive for cocaine. An arrest was made.
“Never take risks on the roads. Help save lives on the roads by making responsible decisions,” a garda spokesperson said.
