Gardaí are investigating two burglaries that occurred at houses in the area of Tubber, Cavangarden, Ballyshannon recently.

These burglaries occurred at vacant properties in recent weeks but were only reported this week.

One of the houses, a holiday home was entered at some stage between January 1st and March 30th. Damage was caused to the front door to gain entry. Nothing was stolen from the property.

The other house was burgled between March 1st and March 30th. The front door to the property was forced open and entry gained. The inside of the house was ransacked. Again, nothing was stolen.

Gardai say it is most likely that the two burglaries may have occurred during the shorter timeframe of March 1st to March 30th.

A spokesperson said “We appeal to anybody who may have observed any suspicious activity in that area during the month of March to make contact with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530.

“If anybody can assist with relevant information we ask them to get in touch with us. The Garda Confidential line may be contacted on 1800 666 111.”
