Warehouse Supervisor (Evening Shift)  

Job Ref No: SD/WS/04/24 

The Warehouse Supervisor is required to supervise and support Warehouse employees to ensure that product is  bagged and loaded to customer/driver requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety, and standard  operating procedures. This role will be hands on with responsibility for ensuring that all bag lorry orders are  picked/scanned and loaded correctly, and all product loaded meets customer expectations.  

The Role: 

• Supervise staff to ensure that all work is carried out to the standard required; 
• Liaise with Office Manager in relation to load schedules, lorry loading sequence and give feedback on any  issues; 
• Liaise with bagger/panel staff in relation to product shortages for lorry loading and prioritise short product  for production/bagging; 
• Picking and scan orders and load lorries for next day deliveries; 
• Operate and oversee a high-speed automated bagger and palletiser line and contact maintenance in the  case of breakdowns; 
• Ensure all bagged raw materials and supplements are inspected in accordance with procedures prior to  acceptance and that the required documentation is completed for all incoming materials.

The Person: 

• At least 1 year’s supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment; 
• Experience of record keeping and completing paperwork; 
• An awareness of health and safety legislation; 
• Have excellent communication and problem solving skills; 
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management. 

The successful candidate should be reliable, efficient, motivated and be able to work as part of a team. Candidates  should have a good standard of education with the ability to complete accurate documentation and good  communication skills.  

Normal working pattern is Monday to Friday. The evening shift pattern is 4:00pm – 12 midnight Monday – Thursday  and 3:00pm – 11:00pm Friday.
