Letterkenny driver caught speeding at 131 km/h also had cannabis in system

A driver caught speeding by the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit yesterday was also found to have cannabis in their system.

Letterkenny Gardaí say they stopped the driver after recording them over the speed limit at 131 km/h yesterday afternoon. Subsequently it was found that the driver had cannabis in their system.

Additionally, Gardaí say their vehicle also was not taxed.

The driver now faces a number of penalty points, fines and a court appearance in future.
