Two more people have died on Ireland’s roads in the past 24 hours.

It brings the total of people that have died this weekend on Ireland’s roads to three now in separate road traffic accidents.

A man aged in his sixties has died after a single-vehicle crash involving a van in Dundrum, Dublin early this morning.

Gardaí say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Elsewhere, a man in his 20s died following a single-vehicle accident on a motorcycle yesterday evening.

The crash occurred at Carnew, County Wicklow at approximately 6:30pm on Saturday evening.

He was transferred to hospital with serious injuries where he later died.

The third road death this weekend occurred after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in County Cork early this morning.
