Walkers have been urged to take extra care on the Moville shorewalk after the path was extensively damaged during storm Kathleen.
Parts of the footpath have fallen away as strong waves hit the coastline.
Local councillor Martin Farren said: “I’ve contacted the relevant people in the council to attempt to get this repaired as soon as possible.
“Please be careful walking in the area as the ground may be unstable.”
