Man held up and has e-scooter stolen in Letterkenny

Gardai in Letterkenny are searching for two suspects who held up a man a robbed him of his e-scooter.

The incident happened in the Long Lane area of Letterkenny on Tuesday night last, April 2nd at around 8pm.

The victim was approached by two men who physically took the scooter from him and then fled in the direction of Letterkenny University Hospital.

One of the males was approximately 5 ft 6” and wore a black puffer jacket and the other was taller and wore a grey hoodie with the hood up.

The scooter has a black frame with red brake lines and the word ‘e-scooter’ in red writing on the foot stand.

A Garda spokesperson said “We appeal to anybody who may have travelled in that area who had a dash cam to make the footage available to us.

“If anybody seen these males in the area or if they witnessed the incident we ask them to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.

“Should anybody have any information in relation to the current location of the stolen e-scooter then we also ask them to get in touch with us.”
