Buncrana Tidy Towns volunteers are urging people to dispose of their vapes properly after finding hundreds littering the streets.

One volunteer collected a staggering 372 discarded vapes in just over one month (pictured above).

The community group issued a reminder to everyone that although disposable vapes are marketed as convenient, they are not biodegradable and can take years to break down.

“Please use the bins provided,” the statement said.
