Third class students at Glenswilly National School were able to show their creativity with the help of a new program recently.

The students in Ms. Mannion’s third class got involved in a new Teacher Artist Partnership (TAP) program with Letterkenny based artist Mrs. Margaret Rowland recently.

According to the school, the program supports students in enhancing their artistic skills while also developing the creative potential of each child. This program is a Department of Education and Skills Arts initiative and is supported by Donegal Education Centre.

As part of the project the students worked closely with the artist to develop their skills, which led to the creation of a whole-class collaborative artwork inspired by the lovely landscape of Glenswilly.

The class presented artwork from each stage of their project, along with their finished collaborative piece, to Principal Mr. Joseph Gallinagh and Deputy Principal Mrs. Geraldine Galligan.
