Attempted copper cylinder theft at vacant Letterkenny house

Gardaí are investigating an attempted burglary at a vacant property in Oaklands Park, Letterkenny last week.

Between 3.30pm and 5.30pm on Monday the 8th of April, the rear window of the house was smashed and entry was gained. An attempt was made to steal a copper cylinder, but it was abandoned outside the property.

However, water damage was caused to the inside of the house.

Gardaí in Letterkenny are appealing to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area on the day to come forward. They can be contacted on 074-9167100. Information can also be provided anonymously through the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
