The Mercedes E 200 Avantgrade car was stolen on Wednesday last after the owner had listed it for sale on social media.

A man who appeared interested in buying the car visited the owner’s residence at Carnamuggagh, near Mountain Top. However, the situation took a turn when the man abruptly seized the opportunity to take the car, locking the doors and driving away.

The owner, shocked by the events, took to social media to warn others to be way of this type of theft.

“Under the guise of inspecting the car’s tyres and brake pads, he cunningly manoeuvred himself into the driver’s seat, swiftly locking the doors before any of us could react,” the owner said.
