Gardaí have made appeals after a shocking incident where a woman was robbed while her car was stopped on the side of a motorway.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon at around 2pm on the M7 southbound in County Kildare, between junction 7 and 8.
A woman pulled into the hard shoulder to stop, and was quickly followed by another vehicle that pulled in behind her.
A man in the second vehicle then approached her car, and a struggle ensued in which a number of the woman’s personal items were stolen before the second car drove off again.
Gardaí say the woman did not suffer any serious injuries in the ordeal.
They’ve made an appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
