Gardaí have urged members of the public to be cautious after a purse containing cash was stolen from a parked car in Inishowen.

The incident occurred at Grianan Park, Burnfoot, sometime between 8pm on

Tuesday, April 16, and 9.15am the following morning. A car that had been unlocked was entered between those times and a cream quilted ‘Guess’ purse containing a sum of cash was stolen from it.

“Always make sure your car is locked as there are often opportunist criminals going around checking doors,” Garda Niall Maguire said.

If anybody has any relevant information, or if they observed any suspicious activity in that area between the above times, they are asked to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540. The Garda Confidential Line may also be contacted on 1800 666 111.
