A vigil will be held in Letterkenny tomorrow, Wednesday, to honour the 34,000 victims of the Israeli bombardment of Gaza.

April 24th marks 200 days since the war began.

More than 34,000 Palestinians have been killed in the conflict and at least 31 have starved to death, 28 of them children. Almost the entire population of the Gaza Strip has been displaced.

The Government Media Office in Gaza reports that 14,778 children have been killed and 9,752 women in the past 200 days.

The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign Donegal Branch will hold a vigil at 5 pm on Wednesday 24th April at the Market Square, Letterkenny. The vigil will hear the names of many of the children who have been killed being read out.

The group is calling for an immediate ceasefire and the immediate recognition of Palestinian Statehood.
