A Donegal Gaeltacht school has won a special award at the Dare to Believe PTSB 10th PExpo last week.

The team from Gairmscoil Chu Uladh, Fintown, came out tops in the Irish language section for their investigation into ‘The Prevalence of Knee Injuries in Female Athletes in Teams’.

The winning students (pictured) were Chloe Moy, Eimear Molloy, Eirin Boyle, Lauren Carroll and Meghan McGlynn.

It continues a solid record for Donegal schools at PExpo— at last year’s event, Aisling Mullen, Katie Dowds and Síne Ryan from St Columba’s College, Stranorlar, took the top senior prize.

Overall Dublin schoolboy Finn Crinion, a student at Coláiste Eoin in Booterstown, took  a record four awards, including the  overall junior award.  Best overall award in the senior category went  to St Brigid’s Presentation School, Killarney.
