A drunk driver who was found to not have a valid driving licence or their car insured has been arrested.
Letterkenny Gardai made the arrest last night at a checkpoint.
Subsequent checks of the drivers’ insurance records found the car to be uninsured, and they also found that the driver didn’t have a driving licence.
A breathalyser sample taken also found the presence of alcohol in the driver’s system.
The driver was arrested and had their car seized by Gardai.
They now face a court appearance in due course.
