Gardaí are seeking to identify two men who ran from a taxi without paying their fare.

The incident was reported at the Twin Towns bridge on Friday morning.

Two young men, aged in their early 20s approx, got a taxi from Letterkenny to the Twin Towns and when the taxi stopped at the bridge between Ballybofey and Stranorlar at approx. 8.35am they got out and fled on foot in the direction of Stranorlar without paying the fare.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who may have been in the area with a dash cam to make the footage available to Gardaí. The streets would have been relatively empty at that time of the morning so it would have been easy to spot these two men on foot and so we ask anybody who may have seen them to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.”
