An environmental group in west Donegal is urging candidates not to erect posters in their village ahead of next month’s local and European elections.

Annagry Tidy Towns is adopting a ‘No Poster’ campaign as part of their environment-friendly initiatives.

“We would ask all candidates of the forthcoming Glenties Municipal District election and the North West European Parliament election to discourage the use of posters in our village boundaries,” a spokesperson for the group said.
