A status yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for Donegal ahead of a day of unsettled weather.
Met Éireann are warning of heavy rainfall this afternoon, with some thunderstorms as well as hail expected in places.
There is the potential for localised flooding in places, as well as poor visibility for road users.
The warning is also valid for Northern Ireland, as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath and Wicklow.
It comes into effect from midday, and is set to last until 7:30 tonight.
