Independent Councillor Frank McBrearty today signed his nomination papers in County House, Lifford.

The Raphoe man, who was first elected to Donegal County Council in 2009, will now formally contest next month’s elections in the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District.

Speaking about his decision to seek re-election, Cllr McBrearty described it as “one of the toughest of my life”.
