A south Donegal beach protection group has called on the community to be on alert for illegal camping and anti-social activity.
The Friends of Murvagh Beach, aiming to keep the blue flag beach enjoyable for everyone, are hoping to curb issues as the summer season sets in.
It comes after a considerable amount of litter was thrown in the car park on Saturday night.
The Friends of Murvagh Beach are reminding visitors that camping is strictly prohibited at Murvagh. They encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious activity to report it directly to the Gardaí in Donegal Town.
They said: “Camping is illegal at murvagh and the guards will order illegal campers to leave. Murvagh is a leave no trace beach. There was considerable litter in the main car park this morning which was unsightly. Help us make Murvagh clean and safe for all users!”
