A man was assaulted during broad daylight at the marina in Fahan on Wednesday last, May 8th.
Gardai say they are carrying out a full investigation into the incident which happened just after 3.30pm.
A spokesperson confirmed they have interviewed a man who sustained injuries during the alleged assault.
He was taken to hospital where he had to receive treatment for his injuries.
A Garda spokesperson said “We appeal to anybody who may have witnessed the incident at the marina on that date to make contact with us.
“We also appeal to anybody who travelled in the Fahan area that day between 3.15pm and 4pm with a dash cam to make the footage available to us. Gardaí in Buncrana may be contacted on 074-9320540.”
