The driver of the car involved in this morning’s crash near Glenties has been hospitalised.

Gardaí say they are still at the scene of the single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a car that occurred shortly before 6am on the R261 at Ballyiriston, between Portnoo and Maas.

“The driver of the car was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to be treated for their injuries,” a garda spokespesron said.

“The R261 at Ballyiriston, Portnoo is currently closed with local diversions in place. No further information is available at this time.”
