GAA Club asks for prayers for player injured in crash

Naomh Conaill GAA Club have asked people to keep one of their players in their prayers after he was injured in a car crash on Wednesday.

Well-known Cian Doherty was injured in a road traffic accident on Wednesday morning last outside Portnoo.

Cian, a senior player with the Glenties club, sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash as he was traveling to work.

He is currently bieng treated at Dublin’s Mater Hospital.

A club spokesperson said “On Wednesday morning our senior player Cian Doherty was involved in a road traffic accident while on his way to work.

“Cian sustained serious injuries and is currently a patient in the Mater Hospital, Dublin.

“All Cian’s teammates and everyone at Naomh Conaill wish Cian a full recovery. All our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Cian and we hope to see you back among us as soon as possible.”

Mass will be offered by Fr Gerard Cunningham this evening (Friday 17th) at 7:30pm for recovery and healing for Cian in St Connell’s Church, Glenties. All are welcome.
