Special Olympian Vicki the toast of Donegal

Special Olympian Vicki McGill was the toast of Donegal last night after receiving a Civic Reception.

The members of the Letterkenny/Milford Municipal District were delighted to confer a Civic Honour on Ms McGill at a reception held at the Public Services Centre, Letterkenny last evening.

The award is in recognition of Vicki’s outstanding achievements as a member of the Special Olympic Basketball Team, winning a Gold Medal at 2023 Special Olympics in Germany.

Cllr Kevin Bradley, Mayor congratulated Vicki on her success and acknowledged the important role model that she has become to the young people in the community.

Cllr Bradley commended Vicki’s parents, Carole and Michael said that they should be very proud of their daughter Vicki.
